Challenge
Water was leaking away with no way to see it
Before Runwise, this 48-unit prewar Queens rental had no way to tell real demand from waste in its 12,500+ gallons of daily water use, and in a building this old, a running toilet rarely announces itself.
Solution
How Runwise found the waste
The team installed Runwise Smart Toilet Monitoring building-wide to track water use by fixture and flag running toilets immediately. Average daily use fell from 12,550 gallons to 8,345, a 34% improvement.
Results
Over $27,000 in annual savings
Cutting daily use by 4,205 gallons saved about $73.59 a day. In the first 79 days that added up to $5,973, putting the building on track for an estimated $27,020 a year, with leaks now caught the moment they appear.
